Reception staff were very helpful indeed... for example, i needed to wash some clothes but because it was Chinese New Year, nowhere was open. The receptionist let me use the hotel laundry room for free!
Also she gave me her WeChat account so we could easily overcome the language barrier... and recommended some places to go visit while I was in Pu'er
The room was very comfortable and clean... and on the 7th floor, so a little higher than the surrounding buildings - this turned out to be great because there were fireworks all over the city every night I was there, and the view / fireworks display was fantastic especially on Chinese New Years Eve at midnight...!
