地理位置不错，靠月潭旁边，接近水社，骑车去向山。酒店出去就是自行车步道，有免费自行车租，带小朋友们骑车玩得很尽兴。房间比较大，进门有榻榻米还有门，刚好两个小朋友就睡那里了，超大浴缸还可以看湖景。自由行值得推荐的宾馆。

客房里的设施很像快捷酒店的配置，感觉性价比不高，可能景点附近的酒店都是这样吧。离日月潭水社码头的游客中心比较近，走路十几分钟，酒店也有接驳车。饭店服务人员很热情，帮忙预约接驳车，拿行李，非常好。

Sun Moon Lake Hotel seems to be trying very hard to be a 4-star hotel. Other than nice lake-view balcony rooms and a well-equipped bathroom, the restaurant is trying very hard to offer fine-dining standards without investing in fancy dishes, food quality, cutlery and adequate staff training. Not bad for a small hotel like this.br/br/Upon arrival, it was raining very heavily, the valet offered to park our car for us, after we unload all our luggage bags. The hotel has a outdoor car-park across the road opposite the hotel. At check-in, I was asked repeatedly about my reservation, seemed like they lost it, fortunately that was sorted out in 10 mins. Our reservation only included breakfast which had quite a spread and a strong Asian style of food. (Made me wonder if they are catering primarily to Mainland Chinese tourists.) Dinner was quite an expensive rip-off or maybe it was the usual meal rate for a touristy location. We had not much of a choice as there was nothing much around the hotel.br/br/We adored the huge sunken bath with lake view and TV screen. The main control panel situated at the centre of the headboard glowed brightly while you sleep. (May be a disturbance for sleepers who need a dark night sleep) Service around the hotel was standard, nothing exceptional nor fantastic. Board walk outside of hotel was dimly lit and quite creepy at night.br/br/Note: Flowers in room were pre-arranged and separately paid for.

I chose mid-week and we were happy to have a quiet holiday with a beautiful lakeside view. Because it was a once in a lifetime visit，we paid more so the hotel，room or trip would not be a disappointment。The walk or bike ride to the township of Shueishe was very pleasant even on a warm day. Judy and front desk staff were most helpful even going so far （without request）as to make a copy of bus schedule to Xitou， knowing we were headed to the Xitou forrest area after leaving the hotel.

Positives:br/Hotel is located on edge of lake with easy access to biking trails and free bicycle available for guests. Rooms were big, clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful and most of them were very helpful. Internet speed was respectable. Overall impressive property.br/br/Negatives :br/Food was not great it was below average, the restaurant does not have good selection of western dishes and there is no in-room dining. I hope the management changes this soon. Another negative, there is no pool....

The room itself was spacious and clean. It came with a very nice tub with the lake view. There was a well-equipped gaming area at the basement. Dinner at the Chinese restaurant was fantastic - the food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. br/The concierge was extremely helpful - they picked us up at the city center within minutes after calling them. We left our stuff at the hotel room and they shipped them back to us to Taipei the next day!

酒店应该是日月潭数一数二的，房间内有日式浴池，最喜欢的是酒店在湖畔，而且有临水栈道，早上在湖边散步或在湖边吃个早歺都相当不错
