I never bother writing reviews. Pure laziness on my part. But here, I had to. The hotel seems very new, the rooms are very comfortable and, of course, very clean. The breakfast is great and varied (even for a European who eats sweets in the morning ??). And most importantly, the staff. I arrived in the evening, and two young women checked me in. They were extremely friendly and gave me advice on where to eat and what to see in the city. Thank you for introducing me to Pingyao and for representing your hotel. I interacted with many Chinese people during my trip, but never on such a high level. Thank you to the team at the Mercure de Pingyao and a big thanks to Xiao Wang 小王 and Xiao Cheng 小程 for your hospitality and kindness.

前台小姐姐很热情，帮我预订了接送，还分享了好多在平遥的吃饭和景点的建议。房间很舒适，早餐也很棒。我洗面奶落在房间了，工作人员还通知我，帮我寄了回来??

平遥古城美居酒店入住很满意，服务人员都很用心，前台服务热情，房间衞生乾净整洁，早餐品种很多，菜品可口，装修大气上档次，床垫睡的很舒服，入住美居酒店不会踩坑，真是一次愉快的旅行！！

首先，一定要感谢前台小姐姐，不得不説，人美心甜，是真的漂亮。我们从河南登封来，提前预订了个豪华大床房，到平遥的时候很冷，小姐姐免费帮我们又升级了一间套房，是唯一一间套房哦，天冷很暖心，对外地游客很友好。地下车库，特别乾净，也有充电桩，而且是带伸缩门的，地下车库也不冷，好喜欢。前台小姐姐也给推荐了好吃的平遥美食，真的好。
衞生：好乾净，我进去没看到一个碎头发，屋里没有异味儿，不错的，符合我的预期；
服务：早餐品类还行，有那个擦尖儿，小刀削麪，味道还行；
设施：准备的软饮三个品类，有特色沙棘汁，不错。再次给前台小姐姐点赞哟

This hotel is new and conveniently located near both the train station and Pingyao Ancient City. If we return to Pingyao, we will stay here again. Everything was excellent — the rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable, and we couldn’t fault a thing.
The hotel driver picked us up from the train station and dropped us off again when we left, which made our stay even more convenient. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and every staff member we met — from housekeeping to reception to the concierge — was warm and helpful. Xiao Wang and Xiao Cheng at reception took the time to recommend the best local places to eat.
The hotel also provides two commercial washing machines and dryers, which were useful. The rooms were thoughtfully designed, including a space to hang clothes to dry. Coffee & Tea were available at the reception.

设施：房间冬季温度湿度适宜。有利于睡眠。本来定了一晚，因为不乾燥，睡得好，又续了一个晚上。
衞生：很乾净，玻璃杯水壶毛巾被单桌面都很乾净。

环境：标准间房间大，安静，餐厅宽敞。

Probably the nicest Mecure I’ve ever stayed at. I wanted a free transfer from the high speed station, gym and laundry room - most hotels in Pingyao don’t have all 3, this hotel does.
Staff seemed to go out of their way to help me and make sure I was comfortable. Not much English spoken but staff very responsive via trip.com chat.
30 minute easy, flat and safe walk to the ancient city. It’s not especially scenic but not bad either.
