Hello.
The last few days my boyfriend and I booked the pet friendly room.
We brought our dog.
Our welcome was very unwelcoming with a dog. We walked through the revolving doors and then we were told to move back and stop as dogs can't come into the hotel
( How does one stop in a revolving door though?).
We were told he must be in a pet stroller but the hotel were very unprepared for a dog even though we called in advance and booked the pet room.
It seems more like a dog tolerable hotel than a dog friendly hotel.
The first room we stayed in was very dirty.
The toilet seat had pee on it when we arrived. There was a contact lens in the groove of the draw.
The room hadn't been dusted and the floor was dusty too
The chairs outside were damp and dirty.
There was also dirt marks on the bed.
It felt like because you have a pet you do not require regular hygiene.
In fact I'd expect even more hygiene to prevent cross contamination between animals.
We complained and Bob did secure us another room , he said it would be deep cleaned and we could move rooms.
He was also kind and gave us free tickets to the sculpture park next door along with two coffee tickets.
We went to the sculpture park and it was beautiful my dog had a great time running.
When we returned or new room was cleaner than the last but not fully clean .
( I'll upload photos with a gap in-between so you can see the two different rooms )
It was still dusty
And after a " deep clean" there was rubbish under the dog crate, so the floor clearly wasn't cleaned properly.
Then I had a bath and it didn't over flow but the pipe behind the bath leaked causing s flood in the bathroom that went into the toilet and wardrobe ( I'll try upload a video).
The hotel did offer to help, but it was very late and my partner was ready to sleep so I mopped up with towels.
The hotel did have a dog park , near the dog friendly room. Down two flights of stairs . Which is very nice anf spacious! But on a night there's no lights, so when I took my dog for his toilet break we couldn't see a thing and it was a little dangerous as there's stairs.
It would of also been nice if the pet rooms were floor one and not two , it's already as far at the end at the hotel as possible and then to take many stairs to the park it's a lot of unnecessary walking.
There was nothing to do on the night. The bar was closed and a lot of the grounds were dark.
The breakfast was nice and we were allowed to have a late check out until two .
We went to the mini ranch and it was quite nice. Some animals live it very small conditions , and some animals had skin infections.
So I told the farm owner by WeChat and he was very kind and open about the feedback and seemed to want to help the sick animals .
Over all , I wouldn't stay here again. It seems like more work than actually relaxing .
