This hotel was supposed to be a 4-star, but when I got there, they said they upgraded me to their 5-star place because of some change in plans.
So, what I'm writing about is the 5-star hotel, and I'm totally grateful for the upgrade!
The hotel, even though it was old, was super clean and had awesome services like massages and personal stuff.
My room was pretty big, the bed was clean and comfy, and breakfast was amazing.
The only issue was they said there was private parking, but they just parked my car in the lot next door and charged me 30 euros for one night until morning. The parking fee wasn't mentioned anywhere.

Une honte ! Le plus horrible des hotels de toute ma vie. Sale, mauvaise odeurs et le comble : pas de douche ! Ni dans la chambre ni de douche commune. Comment passer 4 nuits dans un hotel sans se doucher. Je regrette fortement que ********* cautionne ce genre d'arnaque. 15 ans que je reserve mes hotel avec la plateforme, c'est aujourd'hui terminé! Il n'ont rien fait pour m'aider a part me faire attendre 2H au telephone. Pour ********* louer une chambre sans pouvoir se laver est normal, j'aurai du verifier que la douce n'etait pas marqué. Attention lors de vos reservations qu'il y ai bien douche, lit, matelas, porte, fenetre marqué sur l'annonce pour ne pas avoir de mauvaises surprises !

Simple hotel right in the heart of town. Old world decor but modern breakfast hall.
Clean rooms and excellent bathroom (the shower was super powerful and the bath vast).
Convenient for centre of town and 4 mins walk to station.

Hotel ubicato in posizione centrale, vicino all'imbarco per gli aliscafi per Messina e praticamente all'inizio del lungomare. La striuttura si presenta bene. Le camere sono comode e funzionali. Buona la disponibilità del ristorante, cucina buona e prezzi onesti. Colazione varia e di buon livello. Staff cordiale e disponibile. Scelta consigliata

It was all self check in process and simple.
The only complaint I had was the outside noise. My last night there I had a difficult time sleeping due to partygoers staying out very late and it was between 2:00-4:00am. Maybe there needs to be some curfew or basically if there is a bar nearby they eneed to close it up for the night and stop blaring the music. Others are trying to sleep. I went during Christmas season and the markets closed up early by 9. Why can’t other businesses do the same? If it hadn’t been for the noise outside I’d given it a 5.
