Impressive traditional style buildings. Convenient location, close to the pedestrian shopping streets. Friendly and welcoming staff.
One of the first 5-star hotels, Shanxi Hotel certainly could benefit from better maintenance. The ceiling of the bathroom in our room has significant mould marks, and the door frame appeared to have cracked. One would wonder how these could escape maintenance inspections. The fitness room on the 11th floor certainly lacks use and the range and layout of what one would expect from a 5-star hotel.
Despite the above, an overall pleasant stay.

总体来説还不错，入住山西饭店还可以免费广纯阳宫。就是一进门的时候屋子里一股厕所的味道，衞生间和浴室也有，应该是排风不太好的原因。其他都挺好，还会赠送水果，饮料，酸奶等等。

位置实在太方便啦，去哪里都很近。本身就是景点，住起来逼格也不错，早餐很丰盛，有山西特色。山西饭店吃饭也很火需要等位，住在这里可以外卖送过来或者自己拎过来很方便，省去等位烦恼。最重要的是，夜景真的太漂亮啦，远处高层楼的灯关了，饭店的灯都没关

山西饭店金碧辉煌早有耳闻，这回真是眼见为实了！因为一家三口大堂经理小武还给升级了2米的大床，事无钜细细心周到！11楼，景色非常好，还能看到日出??早餐也非常丰盛，中西餐都有，也不失山西本地的特色！

Historic hotel located in the heart of Taiyuan.
The service is appropriate for its hotel classification and the price paid.
The room is slightly small, but this is compensated by particularly comfortable beds.
Free on-site parking and complimentary access to an adjacent historic monument.

超出预期，酒店本身就是古蹟，地理位置卓越，五一广场就在旁边，离机场和各个景点也不远，晚上华灯初上又是另外一份景色，服务也非常细心周到，我们会考虑再次入住

设施：本次入住了刚翻修过的房间 设施设备都很新 空调制热非常好 而且可以开窗通风 挑高也很高 一点都不压抑
衞生：很乾净 无死角
环境：环境很古色古香 不会是太原地标性建筑 非常宏伟大气
服务：服务不卑不亢 整个流程很丝滑 无论是入住时还是退房后全程都很在线

环境优美，距离柳巷和钟楼街很近，步行就可以过去，很方便逛街。但是酒店前台职员和餐厅职员，态度都是冷冰冰，没有让客人感到热情的感觉！
另外，房间里面设施太旧，厕所门不能正常开关，一边门卡住了。沐浴房的玻璃门不能关闭，还剩下一条小缝，所以水会喷射出来，洗完澡，地板都是水。
